One of my favorite exhibits from NYC Design Week this year was 400 Square Feet Later, Cite Goes America - a follow up on last year's 400 Years Later, Cite Goes Dutch exhibit.
Cite Goes Dutch focused on Dutch design, and this year's Cite Goes America focused on an exhibition of new American design. Curated by Alissia Melka-Teichroew and Jan Habraken, the exhibit featured the skeleton of a 400 square foot house, arranged by room, and filled with design objects and furniture to create the New American Home.
The show is up until this Sunday, June 13th, at the Cite Showroom at 131 Greene Street

Mike & Maaike's Divis table - I like the way that the tabletop splits.
Kiel Mead's Casualtea Necklace (top) - the pendant is cast in the form of a tea cup handle. Bottom row, left to right: Finally got to see Mike & Maaike's Stolen Jewels necklace - it was as lovely as I imagined it to be. The two others are necklaces by Alissia Melka-Teichroew, each of which reference recognizable icons of classic jewelry with modern fabrication techniques.
Alissia Melka-Teichroew's Peasant Collection - friendly and familiar shapes that are balanced with slightly surreal and off-kilter features.
This is cool and artistic!
