Talk about going in the way way back machine. The Airwalk 540's were around when I first started skating, back when vert wasn't dead. The high top, super rubber ollie pads, toe caps, and fold-over lace protectors were all meant to make your shoes indestructible from knee slides and other vert ramp related stuff. And they were. It's cool to see them making a comeback. Though they are now more fashion than function, and probably better for it.
