The Corning Museum of Glass

At Corning Incorporated, they come up with all sorts of stuff like fiber optic cables that companies use to make internet tubes. They also have a huge heart for the arts, and The Corning Museum of Glass is how they do it. In its rich collection you can find both classic and contemporary pieces, and they have a continuing fellowship for artists-in-residence at the glassworks. It's great to see a company supporting both the commercial and cultural aspects of a single material and technologies.
