Stephanie Simek

Stephanie Simek emailed me about her gorgeous jewelry last week - I could have sworn I had posted about it before, but a search through the blog reveals that it somehow slipped through the cracks! Stephanie is a Portland based artist who combines found objects into her jewelry. I love LOVE the Gold-lined Quail Egg Necklace, which is made from Japanese Quail eggs that have been lined on the interior with gold leaf, and coated in plastic on the exterior for strength. New to her collection is the Illuminated Sea Cookie Pin which back-lights a sea cookie with an LED.

  1. Yes, I remember seeing a Stephanie's unique eggshell necklaces, and I could have sworn it was here. I'm always on the lookout for innovative jewelry designs that will stop people on the street.
