Eskimeit Jewelry

These necklaces by Eskimeit are made from Ubamegashi coal, a luxury (!) coal in Japan used to fuel grills particularly for cooking eel in high end restaurants. Ubamegashi coal is apparently very hard - comparable to stainless steel - and when cut, the edges appear metal-like. I love the organic shapes and the darkness of the coal. Each necklace has a magnetized clasp that has been embedded into the coal.

We've been getting some spam comments in the past few months, and so have turned on comment moderation, but if you are a real, live person not touting drugs, we'll get your comment up, asap! Also, comments left under user names that are obvious spam keywords (some recent ones: dining room tables, organic baby cribs) will be deleted. Thanks!
