Julia Chiang for The Standard

The Standard is opening a new shop on Friday, February 12th. The Standard collaborated with Julia Chiang to create All For You, an edition of fifty glazed porcelain apples - the apple chosen because of its association both with New York City and as a symbol of desire. Each porcelain apple is handmade and comes with a wooden box that has been burned with the details of the edition.

In addition, Julia designed a site-specific installation for the shop: "Using the title of the edition, All For You is spelled out with Ring Pop candy along the wall of the shop. The candy is left to melt over time, constantly transforming, slowly disappearing, while leaving a trace and history of the presence of every single drip."

We've been getting some spam comments in the past few months, and so have turned on comment moderation, but if you are a real, live person not touting drugs, we'll get your comment up, asap! Also, comments left under user names that are obvious spam keywords (some recent ones: dining room tables, organic baby cribs) will be deleted. Thanks!
