Brian Ulrich

Some great photographs by Brian Ulrich of abandoned or semi-abandoned engine of suburban sprawl - the mall. Titled The Ghosts of Shopping Past, the photographs explore various stages of vacancy and decay in malls and stores. Competition breeds extinction and I always wondered what happened to the old mall that I used to go to as a kid when the bigger, better one opened a few towns away. I guess these photographs show the result.
