Villa Savoye

Happy Friday everyone! Thought I would post a quick picture that's been in my head lately. Very rarely are the canons of modern architecture allowed to decay. But in the case of Corb's Villa Savoye, post-war it was soo busted. Now restored to its former glory, it's actually difficult to find a picture of it in ruin. Most prefer to remember it as a time capsule, forever preserved in its original state. It raises questions about the life of architecture: Is it intended to wear over time? I guess it depends on the project and the architect's intentions.
