M. S. Corley's Harry Potter Book Covers
Loving these conceptual Harry Potter book covers by M. S. Corley. He also did a series of covers for the Lemony Snicket series.

I like the illustrations, but other than that I actually really dislike them overall.
ReplyDeleteTruly amazing! It reminds me first printing (ages ago, in early 80's) of J.R.R. Tolkien books with very similiar styled covers. Impressed, this is how I feel.
ReplyDeleteI kind of agree with Sosillee. They are neat as illustrations, but i don't think any child would be drawn to these book covers. If you can't pull in your biggest target market, the design is a failure.
ReplyDeletei actually have never read harry potter, but this would make me buy the series just for the covers.
ReplyDeleteWow. I love these. And I think they aren't really for the kid audience. They hit me as covers for adults more. Just the like adult UK covers... I would so buy the books with these covers on them.
