Xi Gallery by Mass Studies

The Xi Gallery by Mass Studies has some intense ground plane manipulations going on. Even though the ceiling and floor move around an incredible amount, through the surfacing and material choices, the two always read as surface and almost never as thickness. It looks like a great project to navigate, though I am sure they are pretty strict about which surfaces you are allowed to walk on. The program for the the project is to promote the brand of Xi apartments while contributing community accessible space for the neighborhood.

  1. the cool thing about this particular Xi Gallery is that they've kept it and turned it into some kind of a cultural space. usually model house types are temporary - but this one was a keeper. i gotta make it down to busan to see it!
