Caixa Forum Madrid by HdeM

Caixa Forum Madrid, designed by Herzog & de Meuron showcases the firm's continued exploration of re-use and rigorous yet surreal design. Re-using the skin of the power plant, HdeM inserted the new museum program into the void as well as stacking it above and below. The image of the power plant remains pinned under the new steel upper levels and severed from the street by the removal of the base at the ground level. If you are in Madrid, be sure to visit.
