Scripophily



SCRIPOPHILY (scrip-af-il-ly) is the collecting of canceled stock and bond certificates. Large and incredibly dense in detail, the certificates circulate and then eventually end up in a personal collection or long lost basement storage. These certificates from Bethlehem Steel Co. (left) and Stone Cabin Consolidated Mines, Inc. (right) are two examples of the certificates available for purchase through scripophily.net, one of the leading traders in collectible certificates.
