Going to the chapel...

Hi, everyone! Sean and I will be stepping away from the blog for a few weeks as we head out to Seattle for our wedding on September 2 and then go up to Vancouver/Whistler/Victoria for our honeymoon. We'd love any suggestions for restaurants, must-sees, bars, etc! Feel free to comment or email us at blog (at) sub-studio.com. We will be back with new posts on September 17. In the meantime, check out all the great blogs on the sidebar!

We would like to take this moment as an opportunity to thank you for reading our little blog and for all of your emails and comments - we really appreciate it! Keep them coming! We will see you soon!

  4. congrat's! i read your blog everyother day and just love it. i wanted to give you a must eat place in BC. if you like indian food you must visit Vij(http://www.vijs.ca/index_in.htm). i live in seattle so i know a few places here: Le pichet on 1st ave for a little french snack, cheap and yummy, Blue C sushi for some fun food and drinks in the U-village, and the newly remodeled SAM has a nice little cafe with a sneak peek of the art. Ohh, so many more but i'll cut it short. while in Vancouver be sure to check out the Opus hotel and the surrounding neighborhood. have fun and welcome to seattle!

  6. vancouverite who checks in on the things your good taste likes. Hope you have a great wedding day. For a quick lunch near Granville Island visit Go Fish for fish and chips. Very good halibut and fish tacos. what else? Main street is still the place for local fashion etc. although its changing slowly, sadly. Regional Assembly of Text, on Main, would be up your alley. Handmade stationery stuffs and other goods. Simple but quite nice if you're in the area. It is a coffee town, and NY just isn't. So take advantage of the West Coast. In Van, JJ Bean, Soma, Caffe Artigiano are my haunts. For hip snooty try Chambar. For hip now try Salt. These are in Gastown area, which is worth a cruise - the human misery surrounded by 3 figure t-shirts (check out Richard Kidd, the 'building' is great) is a social reality that's concentrated in our lower east side. Its something to be experienced if you're here, even if you won't feel wonderful afterwards.

We've been getting some spam comments in the past few months, and so have turned on comment moderation, but if you are a real, live person not touting drugs, we'll get your comment up, asap! Also, comments left under user names that are obvious spam keywords (some recent ones: dining room tables, organic baby cribs) will be deleted. Thanks!
